The Blessed Words: A Compilation of Duas, Istighfar, and Durud

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

  Tasbih 

• Subhan Allah (سُبْحَانَ الله) - Glory be to Allah. 
• Alhamdulillah (الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ) - All praise is due to Allah. 
• Allahu Akbar (اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ) - Allah is the Greatest. 
• Astaghfirullah (أستغفر الله): I seek forgiveness from Allah. 
• La ilaha illallah (لَا إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ) - There is no deity but Allah. 
• La ilaha illa Anta subḥanaka inni kuntu mina-ẓ-ẓalimin. (لَآ إِلٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنْتَ سُبۡحٰنَكَ إِنِّيْ كُنْتُ مِنَ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ)-There is no god worthy of worship except You; You are free from all imperfection. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers. (21:87) 
• La ḥawla wa la quwwata illa bi-llah. (لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللّٰهِ)- There is no might nor power except with Allah. 
• Subḥana-llah. wal-lḥamdu li-llah, wa la ilaha illa-llahu wa-llahu akbar.(سُبْحَانَ اللهِ ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلهِ وَلَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ ، وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ)-Allah is free from imperfection. All praise be to Allah. There is no god worthy of worship but Allah. Allah is the Greatest. 
• Subhan-Allah walhamdu lillahi, wa la ilaha illallahu, wa Allahu Akbar, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billahil-‘Aliyil-‘Azim. Rabbighfirli  (سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّه) ('None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, with no partner or associate. His is the dominion and all praise is to Him, and He is Able to do all things. Glory is to Allah, praise is to Allah, none has the right to be worshiped but Allah, Allah is the Greatest, and there is no power and no strength except with Allah, the Highest, the Most Supreme' O Lord, forgive me) 
• Subhan Allah Wa Bihamdihi. (سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ وَ بِحَمْدِهِ)- Glory be to Allah and Praise Him 
• SubhanAllahi wa bihamdihi, SubhanAllahil Azim (سُبحَانَ اللّهِ وَ بِحَمْدِهِ ، سُبحَانَ اللّهِ الْعَظِيمِ)-Allah is free from imperfection and all praise is due to Him, Allah is free from imperfection, the Greatest. 
• La ilaha illa-Allah, waḥdahu la sharika lah, lahu-l-mulk, wa lahu-l-ḥamd, wa Huwa ʿala kulli shay’in Qadir. (لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ)-There is no god but Allah. He is Alone and He has no partner whatsoever. To Him Alone belong all sovereignty and all praise. He is over all things All-Powerful. 
• Subhaanallaahi wa bihamdihi: ‘Adada khalqihi wa ridhaa nafsihi, wa zinata ‘arshihi wa midaada kalimaatihi. (سُبْحانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ عَدَدَ خَلْقِه، وَرِضا نَفْسِه، وَزِنَةَ عَرْشِه، وَمِدادَ كَلِماتِه) - Glory is to Allaah and praise is to Him, by the multitude of his creation, by His Pleasure, by the weight of His Throne, and by the extent of His Words. 
• Allaahu ‘Akbar Kabeera, Allaahu ‘Akbar Kabeera, Allaahu ‘Akbar Kabeera, walhamdu lillaahi katheera, walhamdu lillaahi katheera, walhamdu lillaahi katheera, wa Subhaanallaahi bukratan wa’aseela. A ‘oothu billaahi minash-Shaytaan: min nafkhihi, wa nafthihi, wa hamzihi. (للَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرَاً، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيراً، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيراً، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَثيراً، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَثيراً، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَثيراً، وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلاً. أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ: مِنْ نَفْخِهِ، وَنَفْثِهِ، وَهَمْزِهِ) 
• Hasbunallah wa ni’mal-Wakil. (حسبنا الله ونعم الوكيل) (Sufficient for us is Allah, and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs.) 
• Hasbunallahu Wa Ni’mal Wakeel Ni’mal Maula Wa Ni’man Naseer. (Sufficient for us is Allah, and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs) 
• Hasbi Allahu la ilaha illa huwa, ‘alayhi tawakkaltu wa huwa Rabbul-‘arsh il-‘azim. (حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ لا إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ)- (Allah is sufficient for me. None has the right to be worshipped but He, in Him I put my trust and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne.) 
• Salamun qawlam min rabbin raheem. (سَلَامٌ قَوْلًا مِّن رَّبٍّ رَّحِيمٍ) 
• Reciting surah al-Fatiha, Surah al-kafirun, Shurah al-Ikhlaas, Surah al-Falaq and Surah al-Naas.  (7 times) 
• Aayat al-Kursi (verses of Surah al-Baqarah: 255) 
• Last two verses of Surah al-Baqarah ((verses of Surah al-Baqarah: 285-286) 
• Sura ad-Duha, Surah al- Inshirah 
• Last 3 verses of Surah al Hashr 

Ismee Azam 

• Allahumma Inni As’aluka Bi Anni Ashhadu Annaka Antalllah, La Ilaha Illa Anta Al-Ahadus-Samadu, Alladhi Lam Yalid Wa Lam Yulad, Wa Lam Yakun Lahu Kufuwan Ahad. (اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَنِّي أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ أَنْتَ اللَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ الأَحَدُ الصَّمَدُ الَّذِي لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ) 

• 
  

Durud  

• Allaahumma salli wa sallim 'alaa Nabiyyinaa Muhammadin. (اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَ سَلِّمْ عَلَى نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ) - O Allah, we ask for your peace and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad. 
• Allahumma salli alaa muhammadinin nabiyyil ummiyyi wa-ala aalihi wasallim tasleema. - O Allah bless Muhammad, the unlettered Prophet, and his family and grant them best of peace. 
• Allāhumma ṣalli ʿala Muḥammad wa ʿala ali Muḥammad, kama ṣallayta ʿala Ibrahima wa ʿala ali Ibrahim, innaka Ḥamidu-m-Majid, Allahumma barik ʿala Muḥammad, wa ʿala ali Muḥammad, kama barakta ʿala Ibrahima wa ʿala ali Ibrahim, innaka Ḥamidu-m-Majīd. (اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَّجِيْدٌ ، اَللّٰهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَّجِيْدٌ)-O Allah, honour and have mercy upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You have honoured and had mercy upon Ibrāhīm and the family of Ibrāhīm. Indeed, you are the Most Praiseworthy, the Most Glorious. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You have blessed Ibrāhīm and the family of Ibrāhīm. Indeed, you are the Most Praiseworthy, the Most Glorious. 

Istighfar 

• Sayyid al-Istighfar : Allahumma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa Anta Khalaqtani wa ana abduka, wa ana ‘ala ahdika wa wa’dika mastata’tu, A’udhu bika min Sharri ma sana’tu, abu’u Laka bini’matika ‘alaiya, wa Abu’u Laka bidhanbi faghfirli fainnahu la yaghfiru adhdhunuba illa anta. ( َللّٰهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّيْ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ ، خَلَقْتَنِيْ وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ ، وَأَنَا عَلَىٰ عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ ، أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ ، أَبُوْءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ وَأَبُوْءُ بِذَنْبِيْ ، فَاغْفِرْ لِيْ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوْبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ )-O Allah, you are my Lord. There is no god except You. You have created me, and I am Your slave, and I am under Your covenant and pledge (to fulfil it) to the best of my ability. I seek Your protection from the evil that I have done. I acknowledge the favors that You have bestowed upon me, and I admit my sins. Forgive me, for none forgives sins but You. 

 Others Istighfar: 

• Astaghfirullah wa atubu ilaih. (أَسْـتَـغْـفِـرُ اللهَ وَ أَ تُـوبُ إِ لَـْيهِ) - I seek forgiveness to Allah and repent towards Him.  
• Astaghfir ullah-alladhi la ilaha illa Huwal-Haiyul-Qayyumu, wa atubu ilaihi 
• Astaghfirullahal ‘Azim Alladhi La Ilaha illa Huwal Haiyul-Qayyumu, wa atubu ilayhi . (أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ الْعَظِيْمَ الَّذِيْ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّوْمُ ، وَأَتُوْبُ إِلَيْهِ)- I seek forgiveness from Allah, the Greatest, whom there is none worthy of worship except Him, The Ever Living, The One Who sustains and protects all that exists, I turn in repentance towards you. 

Duas 

• Rabbanaaa aatina fid dunyaa hasanatanw wa fil aakhirati hasanatanw wa qinaa azaaban Naar. (رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ) - "Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.” 
• Ya Dha-l-Jalali wa-l-Ikram (يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ)- O The Lord of Majesty & Honour 
• Ya Ḥayyu ya Qayyum, bi-raḥmatika astaghith. (يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّوْمُ ، بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيْثُ) -O The Ever Living, The One Who sustains and protects all that exists; I seek assistance through Your Mercy. 
• Ya Hayyu ya Qayyum, bi rahmatika astaghith, aslih li shani kullahu, wa la takilni ila nafsi tarfata ‘ayn (O Ever-Living, O Self-sustaining and All-sustaining, by Your mercy I seek help; rectify all my affairs and do not leave me in charge of my affairs even for the blink of an eye) 
• Ya mukallibal kulubi sebbit kalbi ala dinike , (يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ) - (O Changer of the hearts make my heart steadfast in Your religion.) 
• Rabb-ighfir li watub ‘alayya, innaka antat tawwabur rahim. (رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَتُبْ عَلَيَّ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ) - My Rubb! Forgive me and pardon me. Indeed, you are the Oft-Returning with compassion and Ever Merciful.  
• Allahummaghfirli Warhamni Wahdini Waafini Warzuqni. / Allahummaghfirli, warhamni, wajburni, wahdini, warzuqni. (اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَاجْبُرْنِي وَاهْدِنِي وَارْزُقْنِي ) - “O Allah! Pardon me, have mercy on me, help me, guide me, and grant me sustenance.” 
• Rabbir hamhumaa kamaa rabbayaanee sagheera. (رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا) - “My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small.” Surah Isra Ayat 24 
• Rabbana ẓalamna anfusana wa il-lam taghfir lana wa tarḥamna la-nakunanna minal-khasirin. (رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنْفُسَنَا وَإِنْ لَمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ)-Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves. If You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be amongst the losers. (7:23) 
• Rabbana hab lana min azwajina wa dhuriyyatina qurrata A’yunin waj’alna lil-muttaqina imama. (رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَٰجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّـٰتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍۢ وَٱجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا) - Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous. 
• Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un. Allahumma-jurni fi musibati, wa akhlif li khairan minha. (إنَّا للـهِ وإنَّا إلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ، اللَّهُمَّ أجُرْنِي فِي مُصِيْبَتي، وأخْلِفْ لِي خَيْراً مِنْهَا) - We belong to Allah and to Him shall we return; O Allah, reward me for my affliction and give me something better than it in exchange for it, 
• Rabbi innee lima anzalta ilayya  min khayrin faqeeru. (رَبِّ اِنِّىۡ لِمَاۤ اَنۡزَلۡتَ اِلَىَّ مِنۡ خَيۡرٍ فَقِيۡرٌ)- My Lord! Truly, I am in need of whatever good that You bestow on me! 
• Rabbi zidnee ‘ilmaa.( رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا) - “My Lord, increase me in knowledge.”Surah Ta-Ha 
• Rabbana taqabbal minna, innaka antas-Sami’ul-‘Aleem. (رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا إِنَّكَ أَنتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيم)-Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us. Verily! You are the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. Surah Baqarah Ayat 127 
• Allaahumma 'innee 'as'alukal-jannata wa 'a'oothu bika minan-naar. (اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْجَنَّةَ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ)- (O Allah, I ask You for Paradise and seek Your protection from the Fire.) 
• Allaahumma 'innee 'as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan. (اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا وَعَمَلاً مُتَقَبَّلاً) - “O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision and acceptable deeds” 
• Allahumma inni as ‘alukal-huda wat-tuqa wal-‘afafa wal-ghina. () (O Allah, I ask You for guidance and piety, abstinence and contentment.) 
• Allahumma inni as’alukal-‘afwa wal-‘afiyah fid-dunya wal-akhirah. (اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ) - O Allah, I ask You for forgiveness and well-being in this world and in the Hereafter. 
• Allahumma Inni As’aluka Al Afiyah. (اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَافِيَةَ) - “O Allah, I ask you for Afiyah.” 
• Allahumma A’inni Ala Zikrika Wa Shukrika Wa Husni Ibadatika. (O Allah, help me remember you, to be grateful to You, and to worship You in an excellent manner.) 
• Allaahumma ‘innee a’oothu bika min munkaraatil-akhlaaqi, wal-a’maali, wal– ‘ahwaa. (اللَّهمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِن منْكَرَاتِ الأَخلاقِ، والأعْمَالِ، والأَهْواءِ‏) - O Allah! I seek refuge in You from reprehensible conduct, deeds and desires. 
• Allahumm-akfini bihalalika ‘an haramika, wa aghnini bifadlika ‘amman siwaka. (O Allah! Grant me enough of what You make lawful so that I may dispense with what You make unlawful, and enable me by Your Grace to dispense with all but You.) 
• A’udhu bi kalimat-illah il-tammati min sharri ma khalaq. (أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ) (I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of that which He has created.) 
• Bismillah illadhi la yadurru ma’a ismihi shay’un fi’l-ard wa la fi’l-sama’ wa huwa al-samee’ ul-‘aleem. (بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ) (In the name of Allah with Whose name nothing can harm on earth or in heaven, and He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.) 
• Allahummaj‘alni minat-tawwabina waj‘alni minal mutatahhirin. (اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي مِنَ التَّوَّابِينَ وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنَ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ) - (O Allah make me of those who seek forgiveness and make me of those who are cleansed.) 
• Allahumma haasibni hisaban yasira. (اَللّٰهُمَّ حَاسِبْنِيْ حِسَابًا يَّسِيْرًا) - O Allah grant me an easy reckoning. 
• Allahumma inni zalamtu nafsi zulman kathiran, wa la yaghfirudh-dhunuba ilia Anta, faghfir li maghfiratan min ‘indika, warhamni, innaka Antal-Ghafur-ur-Rahim. ( اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا، وَلَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ. فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِنْ عِنْدِكَ، وَارْحَمْنِي إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ)
